Recognizing EPM Can be Hard
Now the treatment is easy.
We're for helping you help your horse. If you suspect Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis
(EPM), talk to your veterinarian right away about Protazil® (1.56%
diclazuril) - the first FDA-approved alfalfa-based, pelleted treatment. Because
it can be fed as a top-dress, Protazil makes accurate dosing and administration
easy.
Use of Protazil® (1.56% dicazuril) is contraindicated in horses with
known hypersensitivity to diclazuril. Safe use in horses used for breeding purposes,
during pregnancy, or in lactating mares has not been evaluated. The safety of Protazil®
(1.56% dicazuril) with concomitant therapies in horses has not been evaluated.
